It Takes A Family

DEI is the "North Star" of Communities in Schools

Communities in Schools markets itself as helping children in poverty to succeed in school by removing barriers such as hunger, the need for clothing, shelter and mentorship. This is a noble service. The catch is that these children will also be served a heavy helping of Marxist ideology and conflict theory, currently labeled as Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI).

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is the North Star of Communities in Schools (CIS). Their programming and staff work from a DEI worldview and the national headquarters has high expectations for indoctrinating the school administrators, staff, children and families. Their DEI staff assessment reveals that all staff and volunteers of CIS must challenge systemic racism, white privilege, heteronormativity and the nuclear family. They hope to create allies and accomplices that will promote DEI in their communities and create social change.

They are heavily funded by the federal government, state education agencies, school districts and left wing private donors who support social change away from the Christian founding of our great nation.

They work as a 3rd party vendor within the public school system. This means that they are a private organization. Private organizations do not fall under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) which means parents cannot practice their right to be informed about a program that greatly impacts their children in public schools. Since CIS is not a program of the district and its employees are not W-2 workers of the district, then parents cannot submit grievances against CIS as per our education laws. What's more the Texas contract that I read has an indemnification clause that removes liability from CIS and the school district. So what happens when a student is harmed by CIS, what recourse do parents have? None.

I don't want you to be uninformed about CIS's commitment to DEI. I want you to know what it looks like and what they believe. In November of 2022 CIS had a DEI Summit in Washington D.C.. Their DEI resources can be found on their website.

I created three podcasts and videos in which I take you through two of their trainings. I created a playlist entitled "Communities in Schools" on my YouTube page. What you will witness is how they teach their worldview while they interact with your children. Their goal is to guide your child toward adopting the Marxist beliefs that are the foundation of DEI. They believe they can expedite social change via your children in public schools as they are a captive audience with no parent supervision. They also have policy staff on hand to establish laws which firmly place them with our children in schools.
